My first idea and a very quick mock up. Not pleased at all with it and decided to re-shoot in a different more utopic (less surreal) style. Images to follow:

Thinking of transferring this river to the image below instead of a path. (Final image will be in b/w)

Use the foreground flowers to add a sense of depth to the above image.

Project 3-destruction/reproduction

I have always enjoyed the innocence of kids emotions and actions so when I found that we were going to base our images off of famous photographs I went straight to Sally Mann's images and this is what I came up with....

I also did the migrant mother by Dorothea Lange... experimented with replacing the woman with a little girl

Nigel Tomm

I am echoing the work of Nigel Tomm. His works focus on women in advertisements and pornography.

Photozzz

My computer is bugged and my scanner didn't recognize my laptop, this took forever. Sry about the quality I had to photograph them and edit them in Windows gallery viewer. All my working ideas.
For my first option, I chose to alter this photo be Helmut Newton: http://kbcita.files.wordpress.com/2008/04/adriana-giotta-by-helmut-newton.jpg

These are my top three images:

I like the last one best, although truthfully I'm unhappy with all of them. Also, I think the negatives were filthy when I scanned them.

My next choice was Walde Huth's series "One Hundred Unwritten Letters". For some reason I can't find any images online, but they're basically dreamy, soft, colour photos of light coming in through various partially shuttered/curtained windows.

Here are my versions:

I prefer the first. Again, my negatives were all dirty.

I haven't decided on my third option yet.

I am remaking an Irving Penn, a Bill Brandt, and a family photo. So far I've got the Bill Brandt and the Irving Penn (I think I'm leaning towards the bottom two). I'll shoot the family photo while I'm home.

Realer than real

I am working on making ghost photography (figures, orbs, shadows) for this project. This is an image from the first roll of negatives. The figure can be seen in half tone at the center of the photograph, the 5 light streaks came from an unknown source (seriously). I'm working on some more images where the figure is more pronounced and visible, but I also like the subtlety of this image.

(the figure is highlighted in the next photo)

Siobhan in the A House #1 (Nan Goldin)

I'm leaning more toward the 1st or 3rd photograph right now
